If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are seeking an experienced project manager on a voluntary (unpaid) basis to join our dynamic team and contribute to the creation of an innovative mobile application to support a NASA project.

You will collaborate with cross functional teams, leads, stakeholder, executives, and NASA to successfully deliver our promise to our customer and go beyond expectations, on time and within budget.

Mandatory one-hour weekly team meetings every Monday at 7 pm CT

Responsibilities

  •  Lead and manage space projects from initiation to completion
  •  Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets
  •  Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives and deliverables are met
  •  Identify and mitigate project risks
  •  Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards
  •  Communicate project updates and progress to executives and NASA
  •  Evaluate project performance and implement improvements as needed

Must Have

  • Strong passion for the space industry
  • Proven experience as a project/program manager
  •  Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and standards
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders  
  • Ability to start immediately 
  • Ability to pass a thorough background check  
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (must be able to verify)  

Nice to have

  • Experience in Odoo, Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, Visio is a plus
  • A college degree in a relevant field is a plus
  •  Being able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance (In the event the role converts to a full-time and permanent position)
