Public Engagement Intern (Co-op)

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are seeking a summer intern to fill the role of Public Engagement Officer. In this position, you'll become a part of our vibrant team, where you'll have the chance to contribute and gain valuable experience in a real-world setting.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to create engaging content for website, newsletters, and social media platforms
  •  Develop, implement, and manage social media strategies and campaigns for space enthusiasts
  •  Create engaging and shareable content for various social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and LinkedIn
  • Monitor and analyze social media trends, user engagement, and competitor activity
  • Manage and schedule social media posts using social media management tools
  • Engage with followers and respond to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with the Sr. VP of business development and the CEO to brainstorm and execute social media campaigns and contests
  • Generate videos in Adobe Premiere and/or similar video editing software using stock videos and images

Must Have

  • Currently pursuing a degree in marketing, communication, business, or a related field 
  •  Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience managing social media platforms for personal or professional purposes
  • Knowledge of PPC and other forms of advertisement
  • Knowledge of social media analytics and reporting tools
  • Experience with advanced video editing software
  • Ability to think creatively and generate innovative ideas for social media campaigns
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to start immediately 
  • Ability to pass a thorough background check

  • Enhance your proficiency in video editing using software like Adobe Premiere. Learn how to create compelling videos using stock footage and images to support social media campaigns and engage with audiences effectively.
  • Collaborate with senior executives to brainstorm and execute social media campaigns and contests. Learn how to generate creative ideas, pitch concepts, and execute campaigns that align with organizational objectives and resonate with target audiences.
  • Develop skills in managing multiple projects simultaneously and working independently to meet deadlines. Learn how to prioritize tasks, organize workflows, and effectively manage resources to ensure successful campaign execution.
  • Hone your written and verbal communication skills through interactions with team members, followers, and stakeholders. Learn how to craft compelling messaging, respond to inquiries, and maintain a professional online presence.
  • Cultivate adaptability and initiative by working in a dynamic environment with evolving priorities and challenges. Learn how to proactively identify opportunities, address issues, and adapt strategies to achieve objectives effectively.
  • Gain familiarity with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence. Learn how to use these platforms to track tasks, manage projects, and collaborate with team members effectively.
